Hi all,

An interesting topic. The database of Jack's seed germination results is
still available on-line thru the Great Lakes Bulbs web site, URL =
http://www.shieldsgardens.com/GLOVBulbs/

Go to the Projects link then to the link to "Jack Elliott's Seed
Germination Database " which is URL =
http://shieldsgardens.com/GLOVBulbs/…

I try to keep records on all batches of seeds that I start, but not as a
separate table. I'd be happy to look up any particular species results for
the discussion.

I have had Clivia miniata citrina seed reach first bloom in as little as 30
months. So far, I've never had a Haemanthus started from seed here reach
blooming size, but I'm still waiting. Various Nerine species take very
different times to bloom from seed. I think N. undulata has been my
fastest Nerine.
