Hi all,

The fastest crinum to bloom from seeds has been from seeds of Crinum
bulbispermum supplied in 1999 by John Marks in Louisiana. At least one of
them bloomed last year (2001). All 4 of them have bloomed this year, for
36 months from seed to flower.

In contrast, seeds of Crinum macowanii received from Silverhill Seeds in
1998 have still not bloomed. Indeed they look to still be much too small
to bloom any time soon.

All these are grown in containers and are kept indoors in winter.
