I don't have a greenhouse or cold frames but all the
tender plants that I grow in Ohio (Canton area) are in
the ground so I think that would apply.
I have planted the following with the year planted in
parenthesis:
Agapanthus commomn CA blue ('01)
Dahlia ('99) Karma Fuchsiana, Cafe au Lait, Bishop of
Llandoff
Rhodophiala bifida ('02)
Acidanthera ('00)
Alstroemeria ('01)
Amaryllis belladonna ('01)
Lycoris ('01) chinensis, longituba, sanguinea,
sprengerii, squamigera, radiata
Zantedeschia ('01) Flame, Green Goddess, aethoipica
Crinum ('02) Regina's Disco Lounge, Olene, powellii
and p. var. alba
Gladiolus ('99) misc large hybrids and minis as well
as "hardy glads" marketed by Van Bourgondien
Iphieon uniflora ('01)
Musa basjoo ('02)
Nectarscordium siculum ('00)
Tritonia ('01) Bridal Veil, Doll Baby, Tangerine
40+ peonies (not tender but well worth mentioning
<grin>)

This winter will be a true test of what is truly
hardy.
