This is my previous message, this time with the whole thing formatted as
Normal Text, per Mary Sue's request. See if this results in plain text for
everyone, especially those in digest.

Does anyone know how
to set AOL so it won't do html or is it something we all just have to live
with?

===>I've been through this with other lists and found that the problem is
with both AOL and the listserver software. Older listserver software does not
properly filter/convert the text sent by AOL.  But there is a workaround that
AOL posters can do.  Look at the following two examples:

#1 This is text I have not converted.

#2 This is text I HAVE converted.

If #2 looks better to you, then what an AOL subscriber needs to do is select
(highlight) all the text in the email just before sending it, right click,
and select Text then Normal.  Then send the text.

If #1 and #2 look the same, then there is probably no solution.
