Hello All, RHS Dictionary 2nd edition (1956) give Phycella as part of Hippeastrum, though at least some of the genera concerned were originally declared (one even as late as 1942) as Phycella being separate genus from Hippeastrum. RHS Manual of Bulbs (1995, extracted from RHS Dictionary of 1992) lists Phycella as a separate genus with seven species. "Frost tender bulbs, ... brightly coloured drooping, funnel-shaped flowers. Cultivate as for hippeastrum." Regards Hamish Sloan
