Diane: I found the description of allium akaka in the Archibald seed list. "An attractive, dwarf, pinkish, ball headed Allium, about 15 cm high, with about three, grey green leaves, narrower and more upright than the typical A. akaka" They list it as Allium aff. akaka and state that it does not match description of A. akaka in the Flora of Turkey but it is from the Georgian border and may be close to another Transcaucasian species.
