Jim,

Where did you get your Lycoris chinensis? When is a good time to purchase
and plant them? I have L. squamigera and it looks like it may spike very 
shortly as they usually do around the end of July and beginning of August.
If you have any pics. please post them.

Hi everyone,

Here in central Indiana, the first scapes of Lycoris chinensis and of L. 
longituba are just now appearing above ground.

We also call them "Surprise Lilies" here in the boondocks of Hoosierland.
