This question is primarily directed to Arnold, but anyone else growing
Cardiocrinum giganteum is welcome to chime in.

The two plants of Cardiocrinum giganteum growing in my garden have died
down for the year. They did this last year at about this time.

Arnold, in the photo you posted to the wiki, I can see that your plant is
much bigger than either of mine. Is your plant still in growth above
ground? Does it show signs of closing down for the year yet?

Montgomery County, Maryland, USA, USDA zone 7, where I'm experiencing some
heartache over the early departure of the Cardiocrinum foliage.
