Not being a botanist or even an amateur botanist I am not completely certain of my ID but what I identify as Arum italicum grows wild in Bidwell Park, Chico, CA (the second largest urban park in the US) and seeds are abundant right now. This wild population receives no extra fertilization, no summer water and about 30 inches of rain between November and April. Temperatures below 29 degrees F are very unusual. Leaves run the gamut from green to markedly silvered.
