Dear All:

Several weeks ago Judy Glattstein described some lovely, fragrant,
blue-flowered bearded iris she had seen. Among the suggestions made with
respect to a possible identity was Iris pallida. Perhaps some of you do not
know this long-cultivated plant.

I've posted a photo of one Iris pallida variant to the wiki; please take a
look at:

If you are fairly new to gardening, and to irises in particular, you may
well feel daunted by the possibilities. Try to find a place for Iris
pallida, if only for its fragrance.
