Alpine-L had Anemone nemorosa as a topic of the week beginning March
1 this year, with a good introduction by Hannelotte Kindlund of
Sweden. The archives are at
http://listserv.surfnet.nl/archives/alpine-l.html Just click on
March 2004 to find the messages.

There is a National Collection of nemorosa in Yorkshire. I would
like to arrive there with a bouquet of flowers to be identified. I
could do it with the ones grown along the Pacific coast, but I
imagine those grown in the east would not flower at the same time.
Still, if we were able to put names to the Pacific plants, we could
then have a reference collection which we could house at one place in
Canada, and one in the U.S. Maybe the developing Oregon Garden in
Silverton, and the Hort Centre of the Pacific in Victoria B.C.

Perhaps we could have the Yorkshire collection holder come out here
to talk and identify our plants.
