Hi all, Some of us have just heard from Alberto that his heart surgery is scheduled for March 9th. I know it is already March 9th in Australia and New Zealand, but for the rest of us that will be tomorrow. Since heart surgery is always risky he has made plans to donate his bulb collection to the university where Germán Roitman has recently been appointed director of the school of horticulture if he does not survive. Hopefully Germán can send us progress reports. I know many of you will join me in keeping him in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow. Mary Sue
