In Memoriam: Jack Elliott

Dear Harry, Joy and all;
	Please pass my kindest thoughts on to Jack's family. Of the
many 'stars' on Alpine-L, Jack was the brightest to me. Always kind
and generous with words and deeds, he knew an awful lot about a wide
range of plant stuff. We never met, but many messages on Alpine-L and
privately convinced me that we'd have been even better friends if we
had. There are plants in the garden that remind in one way or another
of Jack and others I wish I could write and ask him about.
	I feel like he left us after the stroke, a few years ago, but
this is final. I hope he finds rest in a good garden spot. I'll miss
him still.

	Kind regards		Jim W.
