It's an Ornithogalum.  The first flowers opend today and showed flattened 
anthers, a very Ornithogalum-like trait.  ...now about that species...?  ;7)

Thank you John, actually no one else replied.  I know your book (a must for 
every bulb-o-phile) mentioned that about Ledebouria and Scilla, I just thought 
there may be something else too.  I think I'll have to start dissecting 
flowers again...
