Changing labels

Any properly-given name for a plant, even if superseded, is still a
properly-given name. There is no reason for plant hobbyists to change
labels when plants are renamed.

Professional botanists are expected to know the name history of their
plants, but hobbyists don't need to know this.

I would rather spend the time tending my existing plants, or planting
new ones, than rewriting labels.

I have been advised thus by several friends who are professional botanists.
