I talked last night with a friend who has a condo in Palm Springs, and he said heavy rain is predicted to continue through this coming weekend, so I abandoned the impulse to hop on a plane Friday morning. The weekend after is the NARGS Western Winter Study Weekend in Seattle, which I can't skip because I'm one of the speakers. However, I'd like to get down to the desert soon after that.
