all allium to eat?

Hello All,
I just found out that what I've always called winter garlic is actually
allium sativum.  Whatever it is called, it is very good, a wonderful mild
garlic flavour.

The above site has a interesting recipe for garlic and saffron mashed spuds.

Okotoks, Alberta, Canada (where we've had our first snowfall and it looks
like it might stay)
