Dear All;

With the many interesting posts, I am taken back to the days in the 40's
when we had just the basic, sulfate of ammonia, sulfate and murate of
potash and superphosphate, hoof and horn, dried blood and bone meal. We
mixed our own formulas from these.

I am surprised no one has mentioned having a soil test done, as surely
the actual percentages in our soils will very and determine just what is
lacking for plant growth. cheers, John E. Bryan
