Myke, have you given thought to the possibility of raising Lilium pumilum
from seed? It is quick and easy from seed - sometimes they bloom within the
first year of sowing. Seed is generally readily available from the lily
exchanges. Furthermore, raising the plants from seed would get around the
problem of acclimating the plants to the change in hemisphere. 

I'll be glad to help you find a seed source if this interests you.
