Matt: You may have a long road ahead of you with that rootless bulb. They are winter growers in South Africa which means they should be commencing into growth now here in North America. If it came from South Africa recently it may have to be "turned around" meaning you will have to perform a hemispherical switch. If it ws grown in UK it will not need the switch. By the sounds of your description it was probably grown in SA and shipped to UK and then on to you. Arnold
