Amaryllis belladonna blooming

Well, my accountant gave me some bulbs that were lying in a heap behind his
office.  I brought them home, where they languished in a box outside for a
year, pathetically trying to put up a leaf or two, before I finally planted
them about a year ago.  They are in bloom now.
