Sprekelia dormancy question

Norman,

I live in Long Beach and have about 200 Sprekelia growing along the 
decking on the North side of our pool. They survive (thrive) in spite 
of chlorine water from the pool, 90 degree temp. sun, or 45 degree cold 
at night in the winter (as we are experiencing presently.

I water them most during the winter since that is when they in "full 
growth" here in So. CA.
