peonies and Master Gardeners

How silly of me to post a followup to your extensive peony discussion 
from less than two years ago!
Just kidding: you are right, of course, and I will eventually re-post to 
the peony group. I thought it odd that you all were discussing peonies 
here myself.

In semi-defense of my Master Gardeners, I should point out that it is 
not bad advice to casual gardeners to focus on plants that are locally 
both happy and easy. She had no way of assessing how 
crazy/obsessive/committed I was.

On the other hand, does anyone think the MGs would have come up such a 
clear and useful answer on chill hours as Lee Poulsen?
