Try this.  Soak the seeds first for 24 to 48 hrs.  Then put them in slightly
damp vermicilite in a plastic bag in the refrigerator.   Check very
frequently - at least twice a week - and as soon as you see any sign of
germination, plant all of the seeds and put the pot in the coolest place you
have outside.  You must use a deep pot.  I planted my seeds in two gallon
pots last year, and found a tuber underneath the pot when I moved one.  It
had gone right through the drainage hole.
