Lachenalia

Although most people grow Lachenalia for their flowers, many have
beautifully marked foliage as well (or instead of good flowers) and this to
me was one of the joys of finding them in the Cape a couple of years ago.
From a nursery in Vanrhynsdorp I bought one with amazing purple leaves
(think 'Sparkling Burgundy') which Graham Duncan identified as L. unicolor.
It has white flowers and seems to be a good doer.
