Off topic: international mail delays

Russell:

I ordered some Clivia seed from South Africa in July, which were
reported as shipped on July 30th. I was told it would take 10-14 days.
Still no seeds. Assuming my source is legitimate, since I have never
used it before, I'd say I'm experiencing a delay. Most of my
relationship with Customs and clearance issues since spring of '04 has
led me to the conclusion that our own government could care less about
the small stuff. The large plant and bulb import companies have their
local reps at import inspection sites, probably lawyers, etc. Oh well,
must keep on trying, I guess.
