My nomination is Bermuda Buttercup, the name used for Oxalis pes-caprae which is native to South Africa, not Bermuda. It is yellow it is true, but buttercup is a common name often used in connection with some Ranunculus species which further illustrates one of the problems of using common names as more than one genus can go under the same name.
