Seed/bulb imports to the U.S.

When I import live plants or bulbs, I carry them on.  No chance then  
of them freezing in the baggage hold or going astray.

Also, I clean them.  Once I didn't - a nurseryman in Japan did it for  
me and handed them to me as I was enroute to Narita. When I was going  
to the inspector, I noticed there was still dirt on the roots, so I  
had to wash the roots in a sink in the Ladies'.
