I'm interested that Rodger of Canada soaks all seeds for up to 2 weeks.

I soak most seeds in warm water with a drop of detergent at least for 24 hours and for hard coated seeds for up to 48 hours with at least a daily change of water before sowing. I do not soak seeds of Amorphophallus, Crinum, Scadoxus, Haemanthus & other fleshy Amaryllis seeds.

But what determines your length of soaking Rodger? Do you soak until they begin to sprout? I'd be afraid they'd rot in the meantime.
