I think Allium obliquum is simply outstanding. I started mine from seed about 4 years ago and already have a sizeable clump which is just coming into bloom. I wasn't disappointed to see it bloom as Jim may have been initially, as it was described to me as having acid yellow blooms. A visiting friend thought it looked very bamboo like which I thought was curious. Linda Foulis Okotoks, AB Canada Zone 3 Tulips are still in bloom, a big plus from having such cool nights, I think.
