Hello Dell - No I'm Paul Crawley, retired Grounds Supt of
Lander College, now University in Greenwood, SC. Had to retire in
1999 because of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. I can't do
all the things outside I used to love to do, so I have to satisfy
myself with plants in containers and plants inside. I went bonkers
over bulbs this spring including Eucharis, the ones I still call
Vallotta, Ismene, Arum Italicum, and lots more. After I got going
with the bulbs this spring I decided to join the PBS "chat group"
. I have raised other rather rare bulbs in the past including
Velthemia, and had to leave a lot behind when I moved from PA to
South Carolina in 1983 to work at Lander. I also have several Hoyas,
a few orchids, and some other plants I've picked up along the way. I
did a rough count the other night and I have about100 pots in use,
some 12" and 14" with Tropical Iris, Lilium roschildiana, etc. And I
don't have a greenhouse - so I'll have to stash pots in the back
bedroom and the garage come fall.

I have learned a lot in a short time from the great people
in PBS and have enjoyed knowing there are others who "pack rat" bulbs
the way I do.
If there is any more info you need, let me know what it is.

         Best Wishes,

         Paul L. Crawley
