Hi All:

A quick clarification on the NAPCC. It contains wild and cultivated
plants. Both groups must be verified by an expert to be true to name.
Theoretically, a plant society can partner with a botanic garden to host
one of the NAPCC collections. In reality, the challenges of creating a
working relationship that will span multiple human generations has been
overwhelming.

" The North American Plant Collections Consortium (NAPCC) registers
collections at botanic gardens and arboreta. All the plants must be
of known wild provenance. It is an expensive program, as the
institution must pay the expenses of an expert to come and certify
the collection.
