Dear Friends,
	Dr. Lindstrom is too modest.
The link is just the tip of the ice berg.

	 At -	http://uark.edu/campus-resources/cotinus/…

He shows hybrids of the hardy Manfreda virginica and
Polianthes tuberosa, the tube rose. He has succeeded in producing a
range of hybrids with other species of both genera. His abbreviation
"mapo" and 'poma' indicate hybrids between various species in these
two genera

Some of his hybrids are extremely interesting showing
combined characteristics of hardiness , fragrance, color range and
more. Check out

	http://aragriculture.org/News/ReLeaf/…

and we had some lively discussions here at the PBS site
around Dec 2 of last year.

Expect good things out of this research.

			Best Jim W.
