I have to add an additional thought to the thread of flower initiation. I have five or six pots of various Arum species on the floor of my basement. I would say that the temperature varies little during the year and there is no light. I turn off the HID lights that I use during the winter for some South African species. Well, I had a look this evening and many of the Arum are pushing up a spike of growth. So what was the trigger in this case. Arnold New Jersey
