Jim: I have over wintered my Eucomis in the basement left in their pots and I have also unpotted some and placed in damp potting mix in plastic bags. The bags are placed in a cool part of the basement and all the bulbs came through fine in both instances. I usually treat my Alocasia this way as well. Arnold
