Subject: [pbs] finding bulbs in the strangest place

Do beware of one thing about humus that contains "peat". Most peat products (like Michigan peat) are made of sedge peat and not sphagnum peat and may contain the corms of this "weed", known in these parts as "nut grass". It is a pesky thing-- when you pull it out, the "nuts" stay in the ground and make more.
