the small bulbs again

Have been looking the Tulbaghia family up on PBS and it is not the T.
violacea, but the Tulbaghia simmleri (or T. fragrans). The leaves do
not have a garlic smell and as I said, the flowers have a lovely spicy
scent. Also the leaves look a bit like an Agapanthus. And according
to the PBS info there is a white form, which must be the one I have.
As the friend has lots of unusual plants in her garden, that would be
quite likely.

So thank you Jim and Aaron, pointing me in the right direction what to
look for.
