Yet another lycoris query.

Has anyone on the list here, ever timed the rate at which a lycoris stem can
come out of the ground and grow? Some of mine seem to be at about the rate
of 4" overnight, i.e., 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Most recently a L:ycoris aurea
var., surgens came out like gangbusters overnight when it rained all night.
I saw it the day after it probably came out and it was 9" tall.
