I grew Goodyera oblongifolia (terrestrial orchid) in a small round fishbowl (no more than 10 inches in diameter), formerly home to a guppy collection, for more than ten years. It flowered, and survived multiple moves during college. It got indirect light, no supplemental artificial light, and I watered it lightly every few weeks.
