I grew Goodyera oblongifolia (terrestrial orchid) in a small round
fishbowl (no more than 10 inches in diameter), formerly home to a
guppy collection, for more than ten years. It flowered, and survived
multiple moves during college. It got indirect light, no supplemental
artificial light, and I watered it lightly every few weeks.

On the Pacific NW coast, where we've had a calm sunny day after days
of wind, so the next storm must be arriving. Also, low temps were 10F
in the last cold spell, zone 7 instead of zone 8.
