While not as often discussed on this forum as other geophytes, especially S. African bulbs, the tuberous aroids, like Arisaema, Amorphophallus and Arum, are evidently of interest to many of us (with many nice entries on the wiki). Working with Dan Levine of the International Aroid Society, plans are now underway to form a local Bay Area interest group. We have tentatively scheduled a first meeting here in the UC Botanical Garden on Sunday, March 8 at 1pm to assess interest.
