Dear Friends, Does anyone grow Iris vartanii? This is an I. reticulata relative from Lebanon, Jordan etc. I understand it puts up foliage and blooms as early as Dec. and requires a mild Mediterranean climate to thrive. How far north can it be grown- Diana can you grow it? Or Jane or Paige ? Is it only viable S. of San Francisco bay area? Apreciate any guesses on grow-ability. Lee have you tried this?
