The recent BX announcement included22. Nothoscordum sp., I had this
one on the Mystery Bulbs page, but no one
>could help me identify it. It was received as N. ostenii, but has white
>flowers and is large. I've added pictures on the wiki on the Nothoscordum
>page

The foul weed Nothoscordum inodorum circulates under many names, and
it is a large, white-flowered plant. The bulbs are distinctive, being
dark brown with numerous tiny offsets. Nothoscordum bivalve, which
was foisted on me by an East Coast nursery as a desirable "native
plant," is also a pest but I was able to eradicate it.

The real Nothoscordum ostenii has bright yellow flowers that are
fragrant, and it is very well behaved here.
