Not sure is this off topic? A friend bought some sweet potato leaves & vines at an Asian grocery store in Chinatown, New York City yesterday. Apparently the leaves and young shoots are a popular green used in tropical Asian recipes. My question - What about the colorful leaf forms used as summer ornamentals - are they also edible? I can understand that the flavor might be different. Hoping there is someone with experience / suggestions on growing an ornamental garden and eating it too.
