Wow, what a loss. I have purchased many a seed over the years from the Archibalds and could hardly resist trying something completely different and unusual, just because I happened to come across one of his descriptions of something I'd never heard about while slowly stepping through their extensive seed listing each time I got the next catalog in the mail. And I loved reading his front page preamble of what had gone on with both the seed collecting and in their lives since the last catalog. He didn't seem to mind divulging personal details about their lives, including his recent health problems.
