Does anyone else have trouble getting Eucharis amazonica to flower

While I lived in New York, where I grew them outside during warm weather
and in a rather chilly greenhouse for the winter, the foliage looked happy,
but they never bloomed. When I moved to southwest Florida five years ago, I
stuck them ( in pots) In the back of a high wooden bench in the shade where
they get ignored until I see white blooms peeking every year. I just
ignore them and forget they're around.
