Hello all,
Unfortunately I have to correct the ID of the Gethyllis at the show that has led to discussions on Lapeirousia oreogena as well as showing in "any old pot".
The Gethyllis showed is Gethyllis grandiflora and not G namaquensis. Have a look at the cataphyll. It is visible above ground as 2 concentric cylinders ending at different heights. See also Geth grandiflora on the wiki. The cataphyll of G namaquensis has a very characteristic swollen brown/red thickening of the cataphyll just below the apex.
