Some of the species of Hymenocallis from Mexico that I have grown include the following: acutifolia astrostephana ! azteciana * chiapasiana durangoensis * eucharidifolia ! glauca * graminifolia * guerreroensis * harrisiana * howardii imperialis * lehmilleri ! phalangides * riparia sonorensis woelfleana ! Some did better than others for me here in central Indiana. This marked with * do the best here: grown in pots, outdoors in full sun all summer then stored inside, dry and above freezing, over winter. Those marked with ! do not do so well for me.
