Gladiolus splendens weediness

I'm growing it in a pot in San Jose, so I can't say much about the stolons.
But the blubs haven't multiplied all that rapidly.  It may have seeded into
one other pot, and I'm not even sure about that one.

Overall, it's not nearly as aggressive as Gladiolus tristis, which in the
same period of time (five years) has seeded itself into at least eight other
pots.

My gut feeling is it's probably not a problem.
