I just went to the internet and searched 'Holden Clough' images The page
in Russian noted that the cross was pseudacorus x foetidissima and showed a
rather contrasty, dark, well-marked form from New Zealand and a couple of
others which were muddy.

I suspect (but don't know) that somebody made the same cross and doesn't
know that not all of the same cross are named 'Holden Clough' since it looks
like a possible sibling to the real thing.
