Dear Arnold,
	I suspect these are not only the more available fall crocus, 
but also the hardiest/ easiest/ most tolerant.

	I've tried a few others -most often C. kotschyanus and 
goulimyi- and others, all either short lived, total failure or deemed 
not hardy enough to persist.

	Not that I wouldn't try any others (esp C. niveus)  if I hear 
of personal experience.
